Doug Liman has found his next project, with the news that the director of The Bourne Identity and Swingers, has been given the greenlight for Luna, a film he has been developing for some time.
According to Variety, the story "centres on a group of renegade scientists who build a space craft to try and obtain a mysterious energy source emanating from the surface of the moon." Actors being linked with a plum lead role include, Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans, Andrew Garfield, Emile Hirsch and Chris Pine; but most of those guys are leading men considered for pretty much every project in Hollywood at the moment.
Liman was three for three with Swingers, Go and Bourne, (Mr and Mrs Smith was a laugh too) but then he went and made Jumper. Still, he bounced back somewhat with Fair Game and still a director with skills.
