"Show them who we are."
Marvel Studios' final entry of Phase Four will be an all-out war with a new superhero that threatens everything that Wakanda stands for.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe's newest anti-hero will be a major focal point of 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' if we're to believe what we see in the new trailer below.
Set for release in cinemas in two months' time, the second entry in the 'Black Panther' franchise will follow the people of the fictional East African country following the premature death of their young leader T'Challa (played by the late Chadwick Boseman).
It appears that the country is not able to mourn the death of the great leader for very long, as a new theat is forcing his way into their civilisation - Namor. Played by a newcomer to the MCU, Tenoch Huerta, the Sub-Mariner and his people (who are originally from Atlantis in the comic books, but whose storyline could be changed here) are in charge of protecting their underwater kingdom.
In the comics, Namor is typically a villain with redeeming qualities - an anti-hero some would way. This version of the character is believed to be one of the very first Mutants to officially appear on screen in a Marvel film, following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox and the 'X-Men' franchise. Whether he'll be sticking around after the creidits roll remains to be seen.
While the new 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' trailer does heavily feature Namor and Wakanda's tribute to their late leader, there are also some teases of some of the other new characters that are set to join the franchise. Dominique Thorne can be seen suiting up as newcomer Iron Heart, while Michaela Coel and her mysterious character can also be spotted during the trailer.
Here's the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' trailer, which also stars Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira. Tickets are available to pre-book at select cinemas now.
'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' hits cinemas on November 11.
