Billy Bob Thornton has been fairly quiet of late, on account of touring with his country band, and abusing DJ's who insist on mentioning his movie career while he's touring with his country band. Having appeared in the criminally underrated sports movie, Friday Night Lights, Thornton has just signed up for another one, with White Men Can't Jump and Bull Durham director Ron Shelton calling the shots. Pound for Pound will be the second boxing movie for Shelton (after the average To The Bone), and will centre on a veteran boxer, who is mourning the death of his grandson, when he becomes involved with an up and coming Latino fighter. "Heartwarming" is a word being used to describe it, which is lovely... as it's from the writer of Million Dollar Baby, which sank many a cinemagoer into a deep, dark depression after viewing.
