Be prepared for a lot more of that chin people.
Ben Affleck must really be a fan of that suit as news comes in that he will continue his role as Batman in a solo movie after we see him showdown with Henry Cavill's Superman in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' next year. And not only that, he'll be co-writing and directing the film which is slated for some time after 'Justice League' in 2017. Deadline confirmed the news yesterday evening, stating that Affleck will start on the project after he finishes his adaptation of the Dennis Lehane novel 'Live By Night'.
Affleck's co-writer will be DC Comics' chief creative officer Geoff Johns, who has written across for comic book characters Green Lantern, Aquaman, Batman, Justice League, The Flash and Superman and is said to be "well in synch" with Affleck and they pair "have more than found their rhythm".
We know that Affleck has the writing and directing chops, and from what we've seen of his Bruce Wayne so far we're confident in his role as Batman, so all in all this is great news really. Unless Halle Berry gets involved. No one wants to see that Catwoman ever again.
