If you enjoyed 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' and were looking forward to seeing more spin-off movies from the 'Star Wars' universe, there's bad news.
According to reports, plans for all spin-offs - including an Obi-Wan one that was said to be in 'active development', and a rumoured Boba Fett movie - have been put on hold by Lucasfilm.
Collider reports that that company will instead focus on 'Star Wars: Episode IX' and whatever the next trilogy of films will be once that's completed.
It's hard to imagine that 'Solo''s disappointing performance at the box office didn't have an impact on Lucasfilm's decision; although it was well-received by critics, going head-to-head with other big summer blockbusters undoubtedly affected its pull.
However, that aforementioned new trilogy of films - which is rumoured to focus on characters from Rian Johnson (who, of course, directed 'The Last Jedi') - will proceed as planned, while 'Game of Thrones' showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are also continuing to develop a new series of films that are separate from the temporarily halted spin-offs.
