What a difference a day makes
Comscore Movies UK & Ireland reported that Avengers: Endgame will open earlier in Ireland and the UK yesterday. Disney confirmed the good news.
The new release date is in keeping with Marvel tradition, whereby the two countries get superhero movies earlier than the US.
Other than Ant-Man and the Wasp, UK and Irish cinema-goers have been getting Marvel releases a little earlier than those in the US since Iron Man 2 in 2010.
Previously, the US release date of Avengers: Endgame moved up from May 3 to April 26. A move up previously occurred with Avengers: Infinity War.
Now the UK and Ireland will get the film one day earlier than scheduled - on Thursday, April 25.
