You may recall that we ran a story a while ago about potential plot points regarding The Force Awakens.
Now, just so we're all clear, we pointed out repeatedly that they were more than likely utterly false. We may have used the word "Death-Star sized pinch of salt" in that article.
According to Oscar Isaac, we needed a bigger pinch of salt.
"They couldn't be more off-base," is what Mr. Isaac had to say about online theories about the film.
"For me, I thought, don't you know want to wait so you can get the real thing?" NO, OSCAR. WE WANT OUR FAN THEORIES.
The actor, who'll play Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens, also spoke about the massive security surrounding both the script and the set itself.
"You go to the place, and they have a room with cameras and you sit there and read the script. They’re incredibly protective," Isaac explained.
Abrams has already spoken about leaks from the set and is known for keeping a tight lid on his set.
With Star Trek Into Darkness, Abrams specifically threw fans off the scent about Benedict Cumberbatch's character until the very end.
The Force Awakens lands on December 15th, with another trailer expected in the coming months.
Are we excited? Is a Wookiee from Kashyyyk? The answer is yes to both.
