Ben Affleck has announced a follow up to his stunning debut Gone Baby Gone. He will direct himself in another adaptation, this time the Chuck Hogan novel The Prince of Thieves. According to Variety, Affleck would also star and play a career thief who becomes smitten by the manager of a bank. The film will be set in the actors native Boston; again exploring the blue collar side to the predominately Irish American city. Affleck took his time announcing another directorial outing, and it had been rumored that he would remake the Clint Eastwood thriller Play Misty For Me. This has a bit of a bang of Out Of Sight (by no means a bad thing) about it, on the surface anyway; while Affleck is undoubtedly a gifted helmer. It will be interesting to see how he handles treble duties, being that he's rewriting the script as well.
