Matt Damon and Ben Affleck only a day ago signed a first look producing deal with Warner Bros, and have now already inked to make their first film - where both will apparently star, with Affleck directing.
According to Deadline Hollywood, via Empire Online, the film will be based on real life baseball players Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich, who during Spring training for the New York Yankees in 1973, became attracted to each other's wives, and simply switched. The script has been written by Dave Mandel, and was voted one of the best unproduced screenplays of last year by Hollywood agents.
Ben Affleck's directorial debut was the stunning Gone Baby Gone, whilst Matt Damon is now firmly considered one of the top movie stars on the planet. Affleck is currently putting the finishing touches to his sophomore directorial effort The Town, while Damon will next be seen in Green Zone.
