JJ Abrams has been spilling some details on his upcoming Star Trek movie. Speaking at a recent glitzy Hollywood event, the 'Lost' creator said that while he wasnt a longtime Star Trek fan he said that while in pre-production of the movie he "fell in love with the relationships between the characters". He went on to say "I feel like these characters actually going out into that nothingness and finding something is great. Having lived with it now and gotten to know the characters and worked with amazing actors who portrayed them, it made me fall in love with that notion, that idea that for some reason never struck me the way that 'Twilight Zone' did." Abrams went on to reveal that House star Jennifer Morrison will play Captain Kirk's mother in what we can only assume to be a flashback sequence. Abrams was also singing the praises of Leonard "Spock" Nimoy saying that "It was really just a dream experience, working with him. He is everything you want him to be. He's funny and incredibly thoughtful and was surprisingly open and receptive to direction."
