Oscar winning screenwriter of The Social Network, Aaron Sorkin, is being pursued by Sony to work on a film based on the life of the late Steve Jobs, reports Screenrant.com.

Sorkin just worked with the studio and won said Oscar for them with 'Network' - the one big win the film had that night. The biopic will apparently use Walter Isaacson’s best-selling non-fiction book, 'Steve Jobs' as a starting point. Sorkin also just co-wrote another Sony hit, and possible Oscar contender, Moneyball, so he has a longstanding relationship with the studio.

As well as numerous movies under his belt, Sorkin also created The West Wing and Studio 60. He has a new show due to premiere on HBO soon about a cable news team starring Jeff Daniels.Â
