A sequel to the enjoyable vampire thriller, 30 Days of Night, is currently being penned by one of the originators of the comic, Steve Niles according to Bloody Disgusting. David Slade helmed the first flick, about what happens when a small Alaskan town goes dark for a month, and a bunch of vampires see this as feeding season. It's a lot of fun and actually managed to make vampires scary - even if was riddled with plot-holes the size of Texas. It also made decent coin at the box-office, hence talk of a sequel. None of the original cast are set to return, and Slade will be replaced by Ben Ketai, who apparently did some second unit work on the first film. Slade is currently off shooting the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, so is all busy with fangless vampires instead. The new production will be entitled, Dark Days. Indeed.
