Or you could enter the decade with doom and destruction by watching 'Avengers: Infinity War'
If you're not heading out on the town tonight, then chances are you'll be ringing in the New Year at home on the couch. And there's nothing wrong with that. *Major spoilers for the previous two 'Avengers' titles below*
And due to the monumental success that the 'Avengers' franchise has had on us comic-book nerds over the past number of years, then why not play host to the biggest entries in the series tonight?
But which movie should you watch? It all depends on how you wish to enter the new decade.
The smart people over at ScreenRant have perfectly timed when both snaps occur in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame' for viewers, should you wish to enter the new decade in either a destructive and discouraging way, or a more constructive and encouraging way.
So if death and destruction tickle your fancy, then why not screen 'Avengers: Infinity War' at exactly 9:48:54 pm, whereby supervillain and destroyer of worlds Thanos will snap his Infinity Gauntlet at precisely midnight. Nothing says "new year, new me" more than people disintegrating into dust, right?
Or if hope and prosperity are more your type of game for 2020, then you can choose to put on 'Avengers: Endgame' at precisely 9:58:37 to witness Hulk take the brunt of the snap for the team, and see all of our heroes return for one epic showdown.
All in all, both aren't a bad way to end out the decade and begin a new one. There's plenty more superhero goodness coming to our screens over the next few years of course, with Marvel's next phase kicking into action in the new year. There's also the arrival of Disney+ onto Irish shores, which will be giving Netflix a run for its money very soon.
The next superhero films to hit cinemas in 2020 under the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be 'The New Mutants' on April 10, 'Black Widow' on May 1, and 'The Eternals' on November 6.
