The creators of the 'Batman: Arkham' series take on Task Force X.
Although James Gunn's revamp of the Suicide Squad was teased over the weekend at DC FanDome, 'Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League' feels a bit more explicit.
The cinematic trailer introduces Harley Quinn, Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot on assignment in Metropolis during what appears to be an alien attack that's evidently turned Superman and the rest of the Justice League into kill-crazy psychopaths. What's also evident in the trailer is that there's definitely going to be some comedic elements in the game, which frankly, makes sense because you can't have a game about the Suicide Squad and it not be funny.
For example, making King Shark into a nice-but-quirky fanboy is just great, as is making Deadshot a tiresome bore who never shuts up about how good a shot he is. The game is set for release in 2022, so expect there to be more gameplay-focused trailers in the near future.
For now, here's the trailer.
