Prepare to be traumatised, now in HDR and with high frame-rates!
'Resident Evil' may have had its ups and downs over the years, but when the survival horror franchise makes a good entry, they make a really good entry - and all signs point to 'Resident Evil: Village' being good.
The recent trailers have given some idea of the artistry and technical capabilities of the game's new engine, but now you can experience some of it for yourself if you happen to have a PS5. Capcom have announced a non-combat demo for the game ahead of its release on May 7th of this year.
One thing that's jumping out is how much different it all looks compared to previous entries, both in that it's set in first-person and it looks far more gothic, almost harking back to the first game's giant mansion.
We're not even going to attempt to unravel the storyline behind 'Resident Evil' because we'd be here all day, but suffice to say, there's a lot going on in 'Resident Evil: Village' and it looks traumatising. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC with pre-orders available now.
Here's the latest trailer.
