Giving the gamer the chance to sing and dance to the King of Pops greatest hits is not the most original idea ever to grace a console, seeing as the majority of people have done it a thousand times before without touching a controller at all. But that's what Ubisoft have done here with Michael Jackson: The experience.
Playing alone or with friends, users can choose to either sing or dance to any one of the 29 tracks we've all heard so many times before, the latter controlled by Playstation's move controller, with users attempting to replicate the different moves that slide across the screen at any one time. Naturally, seeing as the controller is held in the hand, there are accuracy problems as the control is not reading all of the users body, so at times it feels like some guesswork involved by the game, but as this is a party game at its core, this isn't much of a problem - it's the taking part that counts. Singing is identical to other karaoke games, with points awarded for that perfect pitch.
Overall presentation is nothing more than satisfactory, with average graphics never really doing the source material justice.
