It's true that WWII shooters are ten-a-penny, or even ten-a-ha'penny, (d'ya remember them?!); but, as the old saying goes, if you're good at something.. eh.. keep making World War II games.

Well, while the other shooter franchises have been updating and even heading off into the future, Medal of Honour has been circling the runway, churning out battle after battle - from the Normandy landings to the Battle for Midway.

Airbourne
is just another in a long list of mediocre titles to be spewed out of late. The battlefields have improved (no longer is your path set for you) and the scale does seem somewhat better. However, the enemy AI is as thick as flying egg white; soldiers tend to run at your bullets, which helps, but doesn't make for the most challenging of scenarios.

After last month's atmospheric 'Bad Company', this just pales in comparison. If you are in dire need of history specific battles, and enjoy jumping out of planes, then this is your man - but for a good all 'round shooter, my money is still on the boys of Bad Company.
