I'm going to be honest. I sat down and played this for a few hours and still haven't a blazes what's going on! Seriously, I don't know if I even had an impact on what was happening; I got my ass handed to me by the computer opposition, I changed the settings and had another go… I won and I don't know why!!
Okay, I need to be fair. I haven't played a Madden game since the man himself was coaching!! I suspect that if you're an avid follower of the pig skin, you will be more then impressed. Graphics are lovely, especially the cut scenes, play screens and replays which integrate seamlessly between plays.
The commentary is incredibly accurate, obviously a lot of work has gone into this, unlike it's soccer cousin which spouts cliches and states the obvious… so I suppose it is accurate!!!
All in all, this seems to be a step forward for the franchise. But, to be honest, unless this is something you are really into I think, like me, it will go way over your head.
