To be honest, the cast that's been assembled for 'Squadron 42' could actually make a pretty decent movie.
You've got Gillian Anderson, Oscar winner Gary Oldman, John Rhys-Davies from 'Lord Of The Rings', Mark Strong from 'Kingsman', Mark Hamill, our own Liam Cunningham, Andy Serkis, and there's even Craig Fairbrass from basically every 'Call Of Duty' game that's ever been. While there isn't much in the way of gameplay in this trailer, it does show how far the graphics engine has come since the first trailer was revealed a couple of years ago.
The game's development as part of 'Star Citizen' - which really would take a huge article to summarise, never mind explore in any kind of detail - has been ongoing for the past seven years, beginning with a huge crowdfunding campaign and has now become a self-sustaining enterprise with players happily forking over money for new ships, skins and so on to help the game's development.
'Squadron 42' will be a single-player campaign that'll be set within 'Star Citizen' and is expected to be released in various episodes rather than one, single game as such.
Of course, the question remains whether 'Star Citizen' and 'Squadron 42' will ever see the light of the day in the first place.
