Rocking up in the middle of random players' islands, buying turnips and being very polite.
Gaming, as we know, is a broad church and welcomes all and caters to all.
Not every single game is blood-soaked mayhem like 'Doom Eternal', or frighteningly intense action like 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare'. Some games, quite honestly, are just cute and calming to play - like 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'.
The Nintendo Switch game sees players buy an island and attempt to farm the land in return for some sweet, sweet profit and generally just have a good time. Since its launch last month (on the same day as 'Doom Eternal', naturally), the game has become hugely popular - not to mention earning itself some unexpected but well-known fans.
One such fan is none other than Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood. The story, however, gets interesting when another 'Animal Crossing' player offered up turnips for 599 bells, the in-game currency. Not a bad deal, if you know the game's economy.
So, who decides to get on that deal? Well, Elijah Wood, of course.
Wood, as it turns out, is a big 'Animal Crossing' fan and was only polite enough to ask about picking fruit on the island before heading off and enjoying himself, not unlike Frodo Baggins when he leaves the Shire with Samwise Gamgee.
By all accounts, the whole encounter seemed quite surreal but oh so wholesome - which is basically 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' down to a tee. On top of all that, Wood was good enough to hang out with a few other visitors on the island and generally just be nice.
As celebrity encounters go, it's as charming as you could get.
