The indie smash-hit is crossing over to consoles.
Although 2020 has seen some major upsets in gaming - let's talk about 'Cyberpunk 2077' another time, mmkay? - there's no denying that 'Among Us' has become the breakout hit of the year.
Originally released with little fanfare, it was taken to heart by some major Twitch streamers and, even at one point, US politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez getting in on a stream. If you're not familiar with it, it's one of those games that's so ingenious, you're kind of wondering why nobody made it sooner.
You and your team-mates are on a ship, assigned to complete several tasks before the timer runs out. However, among your team-mates are impostors who have either sabotage you or kill you quietly before you complete said tasks. If you suspect someone, you then vote to throw them out the airlock - but it'll make completing your tasks that much harder.
Such is the game's popularity, in fact, that it's now going to Nintendo Switch from today for just €4.29. Not only that, the game has crossplay across Android, iOS, and PC, which you can't blame the suspicious movements just on JoyCon drift either.
Here's the launch trailer.
