PC owners will get to experience Kratos' story for the first time
Grab your nearest axe and your boy; Kratos is coming to the PC.
The 2018 version of 'God Of War' was the recipient of 'Game Of The Year' from over 100 publications, and in January 2022, PC gamers will be able to experience Kratos' story in stunning 4k.
Releasing on January 14th, 2022, the game will boast graphics even better than what is available on Playstation consoles as the launch trailer shows.
With ultra-wide screen support and the game using the NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex settings on more advanced rigs, Kratos' adventure through Scandinavia will pop off the screen better than even before.
A statement from Playstation said "Our PC version includes a wide range of graphical presets and options so you can fine-tune your visual experience based on your setup. God of War on the PC can create striking visual quality unique to the platform."
"You’ll be able to enjoy the full potential of our cinematic, no-cut camera as it follows Kratos and Atreus across the realms with the option of true 4k resolution, on supported devices, and unlocked framerates."
The PC release is sure to tide over fans until the release of the recently-announced 'God Of War: Ragnarok' and the graphical upgrades on display may well justify the purchase for long-term fans and PC gaming enthusiasts alike.
The PC port will be playable with either a standard PS4 or PS5 controller or with a traditional mouse and keyboard.
'God Of War' joins a number of former Playstation exclusives making their way to PC, with the likes of 'Heavy Rain' and 'Detroit: Become Human' among former Playstation exclusives that found their way to PC.
