This two- day workshop is suitable for novices and interested parties of all ages (under 10's must be accompanied by an adult). Learn how to make a lightweight puppet suitable for parades using simple, non- toxic techniques.
Day 1: sculpt a head in clay, reproduce it in a lightweight material and make hands.
Day 2: put it all together on a lightweight frame, fit it and learn to use it.
All materials except the costume are provided.
Puppets made in this workshop are invited to be part of the parade at the picnic on the last day of the festival.
