To celebrate its second year as title sponsor of Dublin Fringe Festival, Tiger is collaborating with Irish artists at the forefront of innovation to create an urban exhibition space, bringing art to the streets of Dublin. The city plays hosts to exciting and inspirational pieces for all to see – from a floating anamorphic installation at Grand Canal Dock, to the larger-than-life Kinetic Tiger prowling Wolfe Tone Square.
Anamorphic Tiger Installation
Tapping into the pulse of creativity, Tiger collaborated with Irish street artist, Dan Leo, to create a unique installation at Grand Canal Dock. The anamorphic installation is a floating, multi-piece spectacle that reveals itself as a giant tiger when viewed from a particular angle. With this structure, Tiger is bringing the innovation of the Fringe to the urban landscape, creating an art gallery that lives within the infrastructure of Dublin City. The piece can be viewed by those visiting the area until September 20th.
Leo's bold graphic style utilises a visual language that is all his own, straddling graffiti culture, pop art and graphic illustration, that never stagnates into one definition.
Kinetic Tiger
Tiger also worked with designers, Andrew and Ger Clancy, to create the Kinetic Tiger, a mobile, life-sized interpretation of the iconic animal, which will prowl the vicinity of the Spiegeltent during the Fringe Festival and can be seen until September 20th. The Kinetic Tiger uses impressive dimensions, movement and sound to create an experience like no other.
The Clancy brothers have been working with the Fringe Festival for years through their unique visual artistry, and the evolution of their work, and their creative journey, makes them a perfect fit for Tiger. Tiger champions artists who challenge traditional working methods in the arts as they uncage their creativity, which is showcased in the spectacle of this unique mobile sculpture.
Tiger Bar
With the Speigeltent being back in Ireland for the first time in 21 years, the Tiger Bar provides the perfect location to take in the atmosphere surrounding the awe-inspiring structure. The bar, commissioned by Tiger, features the ’Tiger’s Perch’, a raised platform designed to allow people to truly experience the ambience of the Spiegeltent.
Emma-Jane McKeown, Brand Manager for Tiger Beer Ireland, commented, “Tiger is a champion of the arts globally, and the innovation and creativity seen at Dublin Fringe Festival fits perfectly with our own values. This is a true partnership, and, to celebrate our second year as title sponsor, we wanted to create installations and attractions that complement the Fringe, but are also unique and engaging in their own right.’
Brewed in Singapore since 1932, Tiger Beer is the world’s most successful pan-Asian beer, and 2015 sees the brand delve deeper, and further explore, the arts and culture of Ireland.
