The comedian's new stand-up show will film live in Dublin this April

Comedian Deirdre O'Kane has unveiled the line-up for her new Sky One stand-up series, which set to film in Dublin's Olympia Theatre this April.

'The Deirdre O’Kane Show' will be recorded live this April over four days, and will air on Sky One later this autumn. The iconic comic from Drogheda won't be left on stage on her own though, as she has enlisted the help of some of Ireland's favourite stand-up comedians.

Tommy Tiernan, Neil Delamere, Emma Doran, and Catherine Bohart have all been all lined up and ready to join in on the action, as well as some international names featuring on the bill too, including Bill Bailey, Kerry Godliman, Reginald D. Hunter, and Martin Angolo. More big names will be announced in the coming weeks.

Punters can expect to play a big part in the show too, as hip-hop musical act Rob Broderick, a.k.a ‘Abandoman’ and his house band will bring the audience on a magical journey, transforming the audience’s likes, loathes and daydreams into hit songs.

Speaking on the news, Deirdre O’Kane said: "I’m overjoyed that Sky has enabled us to showcase such an incredible assembly of comedic talent, from well-known Irish and international names to exciting emerging acts. Fair play to Sky for recognising the wealth of Irish stand up talent and supporting the entire comedy scene through its backing of this huge show, filming right here in the heart of our capital city."

'The Deirdre O’Kane Show' films live at the Olympia Theatre from Thursday, April 8th to Saturday, April 11th. Tickets are €23.00 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.ie.
