Theatre! Dance! Art! Puppetry and Music - with gingerbread men and polar bears! What better way to get the whole family in the mood for fun in Waterford than with Sprog 08, Garter Lane's annual children's festival from Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August in a feast of entertainment designed especially to cater for children aged 5 years and older, and with some specially designed classes for infants and toddlers. This is the ninth year that Sprog, the pre-Spraoi festival for children at Garter Lane bursts on to the Waterford scene with captivating, sparkling and engaging entertainment, and it looks as though it's going to be the best one yet! Sprog once again will enchant you with a host of wonderful and slightly weird characters. Come and see the world's most famous singing goat, Billy Holiday, or hear the true story of 17 year old Ann Harvey who, along with her father and 12 year old brother, saved shipwrecked passengers and crew from an Irish immigrant ship in Newfoundland. Sprog once again will enchant you with a host of wonderful and slightly weird characters. Tickets for the shows are priced at only €7 per child, with a group ticket for four for only €22, and €10 for the workshops and each shows last no longer than 60 minutes.
