Nightflight is proud to present the debut Dublin live appearance of Berlin based producer Frank Timm aka Soundstream. A series of rapturous 12" tech- disco cut ups released under this alias since 2006 have caused ructions in record shops as DJs scramble for the limited edition copies. The Soundstream sound is a melange of Timm's influences, from classic disco and boogie to vintage Chicago and Detroit trax, all the way up to the harder edged modern house sounds of Berlin 2010. With regular slots at Panorama Bar in Berlin and Fabric in London, he is taking those sounds to more and more people each week, and we're chomping at the bit to see him rock the Button Factory. Soundstream is only one element of Timm's production. Under his Soundhack guise, he releases raw, rough edged, edit heavy dancefloor shakers and abstracters, as well as turning in remixes for the likes of Anthony 'Shake' Shakir, the Olympian Rhythm & Sound duo and Auto Repeat. Then there's his 'band' Smith'N'Hack, where he pairs up with Errorsmith, who is also part of MMM. Just listen what they did to Ricardo Villalobos' 'Easy Lee' or Herbert's 'Moving Like A Train' for a taste of his thoroughly modern take on classic dance music.
