Rosses Point, Sligo's maritime village hosts its fifth annual international shanty festival. Local and Irish shanty groups will be joined by shanty singers from Scotland, the Shetland Islands, France, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the Canary Islands. The programme also features workshops, arts, literature and various water events including boat races. Central to the festival is preserving the area's maritime heritage and featuring the voluntary work of the R.N.L.I. Come along for a great weekend of all things maritime!
