Don't worry - Primavera Sound is still happening in Barcelona next year.

Primavera Sound Festival is moving to Los Angeles for its 20th anniversary.

In an official release, Gabi Ruiz, one of the festival's directors, said that "(we) have been thinking about Los Angeles for many years now, and the celebration of our 20th anniversary felt like the perfect timing for the decision of crossing overseas."

"Our goal is to bring the Primavera Sound spirit and vibe to cities with a similar feel: creative, colorful and welcoming. And with this, to give something new to the city, to show a new side and new possibilities to be built and harvested together," said Ruiz.

Primavera Sound will still take place in Barcelona next year, with '90s grunge icons Pavement already confirmed for the lineup and also set to play Nos Primavera Sound in Porto, Portugal.

This year's lineup at the festival included Carly Rae Jepsen, Robyn, Tame Impala, Mac DeMarco, and ran from May 30th to June 1st at Barcelona's Parc del Fórum. The festival has been a hit with Irish music fans since its launch, and has grown from a small, 7,000 concert to over 200,000 attendees in 2018.
