Formed in 1999 by production & business partners/DJs Dean Sherry, Barry Dempsey & Darren Nolan, PHUNK'DUP was a concept of representing, developing & producing underground electronica with a distinctly Irish sound. Promoting the up & coming new DJs & producers via their Impulsive Music family of labels managed to establish many now well-known names & faces on the Irish & international music scenes. As a production group, PHUNK'DUP released over 8 singles worldwide to critical acclaim and managed to tour extensively around Ireland's clubs, colleges & venues promoting the sound of Irish underground House & Techno which also saw repeated invites and tours of Europe, Middle East & the US plus licensing deals to labels including Fade & Global Underground. Slammin' beats, pulsing rhythms and rapturous crowds caught the imagination of the Irish public & press with well-known guests joining the residents to participate in a movement that was far greater than its sum of parts. So... a few years later to celebrate the Irish underground you are invited to ThinkTank @ the Hub (formerly Switch) on Eustace St, Temple Bar on July 18th... and get rightly PHUNK'DUP!
