Dublin will be a hub of activity for budding filmmakers, movie lovers and John Ford fans this June 6th - 8th for the John Ford Ireland Symposium.

The John Ford Ireland Film Symposium will include a myriad of events staged across venues in Dublin city for three days, including a once off event – in conjunction with the National Museum of Ireland, Decorative Arts & History, Collins Barracks – exploring the work of Ford during the Second World War.

Immerse yourself in ‘all things Ford’ with events including, indoor and outdoor screenings, panel discussions, public interviews, music for the screen events and performances, master classes and more.

In the first three years John Ford Ireland has welcomed a wide range of renowned luminaries as well as young creative talent and veteran Filmmakers including Clint Eastwood, Peter Bogdanovich, Bertrand Tavernier, John Boorman, Neil Jordan, Jim Sheridan, Stephen Frears, Joel Cox and Sean Bobbitt; members of Ford’s family and company (including Dan Ford and Patrick Wayne); and Ford experts, academics and authors, including Joseph McBride, Glenn Frankel and Gaylyn Studlar and many more. This year promises to be just as exciting and engaging with filmmakers and academics from around the world participating in a series of events across the city.
