Ireland's only festival dedicated solely to emerging home-grown talent is back for its 6th successive year this September 12th to 14th. An invaluable opportunity for local bands to showcase themselves to a wider audience, Hard Working Class Heroes (HWCH) has proven to be one of the most anticipated festivals in Ireland's already stellar summer festival scene. This year's festival features close to 100 acts playing in various venues throughout Temple Bar. As well as a whole slew of talented Irish bands on the bill, the festival organizers have organized a "Scottish Invasion" as the renowned Sons and Daughters will be representing the best that our Celtic neighbours have to offer. This follows on from the successful "Scandinavian Invasion" in 2007 which proved to be a very popular choice amongst the festival goers. And as if that wasn't enough there will be panels, mentor sessions and more with a host of international delegates on hand to share their wisdom and experience. Bands scheduled to appear this year include Autamata, Chequerboard, Ollie Cole, Hybrasil, Robotnik, The Revellions and Class of 1984. To download tracks from all of this year's participants, or to check the latest download charts please see our HWCH page. Tickets are available at usual outlets.
