Lovers of music who are interested in this growing genre of music in Ireland are invited to Limerick this May for the chance to get that inside look and feel on what happens when you are 'in the choir'.
This is Gospel Rising's fifth annual festival and this year the festival has joined forces with Limerick City of Culture 2014 to bring another great event to the city for 2014.
The Festival will consist of a series of workshops and gigs running throughout the weekend in a variety of different venues. Workshops topics include choir harmonics, choral gospel styles, soloist styles and techniques for all levels, choreography and percussion, amongst others. Numerous gigs will run across the weekend with many of the gospel choirs attending the festival keen to get up on stage and show their unique brand of gospel which makes up this new cosmopolitan genre of music in Ireland.
