Yvonne Ussher artistic director of Idir Mná will be producing an all female(ish!) Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet in The New Theatre, Dublin from the 23 - 28 November 2009. This will be the inaugural production of Idir Mná. The name is Irish for "Amongst Women". Artistic Director Yvonne clarifies that 'before people think it is a lesbian feminist thing - it's not! And it is not in any way a male bashing machine. Idir Mná aims to address the imbalance in our profession on the lack of decent female roles in a way that doesn't involve women sitting around complaining about shoes, boys or periods.' The show carries the tag line, "It takes balls... and hers are bigger" This is a play on the original tag line for the movie that was released in 1992. The play itself was written in the early 80's and Idir Mná will be doing a sleek and sexy contemporary version of it.
'The Book of Mormon' is returning to Dublin next year
