As part of the International Literature Festival Dublin 2017, director / actor / author Werner Herzog will be coming to the city for a public interview in the National Concert Hall. Born in 1942, Werner Herzog was raised in a Bavarian village before studying German Literature and History in Munich and Pittsburgh. He made his first film aged 19, and since then has produced, written, and directed 70 films including the celebrated Encounters at the End of the World (2007), Grizzly Man (2005), Fitzcarraldo (1982) for which he won Best Director at Cannes Film Festival, and The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (1972).
