Following on from the success of the inaugural Doolin Writers’ Weekend, The 2nd Annual Doolin Writers weekend will consist of workshops in short story writing, poetry and novel writing and lectures and readings by some of Ireland’s foremost writers.
The weekend is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring writers, published authors and literary fans alike to get together and celebrate everything Irish Literature. Not only that, there will be some amazing traditional music and theatre.
Distinguished artists like J.M. Synge, George Bernard Shaw, Dylan Thomas, Augustus John and Oliver St. John Gogarty spent time in this lovely Co. Clare town and the organisers look forward to welcoming back some of Ireland's esteemed contemporary writers for what they hope will become an annual literary even in the gorgeous Banner County.
