David O'Doherty, the winner of the prestigious if.comedy award (formerly the Perrier) will perform his award winning show at Vicar Street for one night only on Thursday October 2nd. Describing his comedy as 'very low energy musical whimsy' the D.O.D. has been making us laugh with his endearing tiny keyboards since 1998. The absurd randomness and banal commentary of the O'Doherty's comedy are why the Irish Times have called it 'a beautiful mix of acute observation and startling invention'. In receiving Britain's most prestigious live comedy award, David joins an elite list of former Irish winners including Dylan Moran and Tommy Tiernan. With that lovely boost to his career, David is now set to return to Dublin and perform his show at Vicar Street for the first time since his win at the Edinburgh Fringe. Tickets are €25 on sale now through Ticketmaster and other usual outlets nationwide
