Monday the 16th June is Bloomsday and to celebrate this unique festival Dún Laoghaire is holding three days of family focused events and activities on the 14th, 15th and 16th June.

Don't miss the chance to celebrate the life of James Joyce and his novel 'Ulysses' by taking part in a range of free activities which will include street games, face paintings, children's art day competitions and balloon modelling. The streets will also be alive with music, food and a vintage spectacle. You may even see some well-known faces dressed as Leopold Bloom.

Make sure to also indulge your taste buds with fantastic offerings from the local businesses. For the first time since its creation The Tower of Ulysses is on loan to Dún Laoghaire and can be viewed at 58 Georges Street from June 14th - 16th and its creator Aidan Breen shall be there to give lectures at 2pm on Saturday, 4pm on Sunday and 2pm on Monday. The piece is inspired by James's Joyce's Ulysses'. All are welcome and it is free to attend.

This festival is a great opportunity to experience the wonderful attractions that Dún Laoghaire has to offer. The James Joyce Walking Tour will provide the chance to see the various spots around the town that feature in 'Ulysses'.
