Well take a look outside your window and it's official winter has arrived. But it's not all bad. Because winter time means what? Christmas time! And what better way to kick start your festive spirit than to head down to the beautiful surrounds of Ballymaloe House where at The Grain Store, Christmas comes on the 19th of November.
After the success of last year’s inaugural "Christmas Food & Crafts Fair" at the Grain Store, Ballymaloe, the celebrated home of the Allens, is once again playing host to the craft and food event of the season on Saturday, November 19th and Sunday, November 20th 2011.
The beautifully restored Grain Store building will showcase craft and food products of the highest calibre, including quality textiles, pottery, jewellery, woodturning and carving, glass work, paper making, fine art, sculpture, children's games and toys, cosmetics and confectionary, cheeses and many more.
The event – which is being organised by Cork Art and Design in association with the Grain Store– is a one-stop shop for all your Christmas gift needs, with in excess of 50 indoor stands. Visitors can then enjoy some delicious hot food at the market stands in the grounds, or enjoy afternoon tea at the Ballymaloe Café.
The Grain Store at Ballymaloe is one Christmas fair you will not want to miss. Located only 20 miles from Cork city, Ballymaloe House is easily accessible and the event offers ample parking and the very best in exceptional hand-made craft and food produce, direct from the makers.
So why not make it a day out for all the family and go and see what is on sale at the "Christmas Food & Crafts Fair". It runs from 11am until 7pm on Saturday November 19th and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday, November 20th.
