Leo Varadkar took to address the nation earlier today, making it clear that The Government's plan on keeping COVID-19 at bay is to keep the country on lockdown for the next two weeks.
In what first felt like a bad B-movie with a meagre budget and horrible acting, has quickly escalated into a Hollywood blockbuster movie - and we're all the stars of the saga. Following Taoiseach Leo Varadkar's statement earlier today, all schools and colleges are to close from today until Sunday, March 29. Another measure to be introduced will be the cancellation of all events of over 100 people indoors, and outdoor events of more than 500 people. Closed venues will be on the cards across the country.

Cork Opera House has cancelled all events, including tonight's performance of Leo Sayer.

The Bord Gais Energy Theatre has cancelled their three performances due to take this during the time period, which was to include Ludovico Einaudi, Leo Sayer, and Carmen.
The Button Factory in Dublin has postponed all upcoming shows.
In response to today's government update regarding Covid-19 all upcoming shows up to the 29th March have been postponed. Current tickets will remain valid for any rescheduled dates, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope to resume normal operations shortly.

3 Arena Dublin have announced an immediate shut down on events happening throughout the two weeks. David Gray, The Who, and Elbow were all due to perform.
The Academy in Dublin is also closing until March 29.

The Irish Film Institute is to close for the period.

Galway, the European Capital of Culture for 2020, have cancelled a number of events due to take place later this month.
The St. Patrick's Festival have announced a cancellation of all of their cultural programme, a full list of which can be viewed here.
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin have cancelled all events until March 29.
The Everyman Theatre in Cork have cancelled all shows until March 29, including Keith Barry this Friday 13.
