It's hard to believe that the May Bank Holiday weekend is only a few weeks away, but with Easter getting in the way (not that we're complaining!) it's safe to say that few people have made any plans for 'the official start of summer.' Well, we have a lovely suggestion for you - Art in Action - the unique arts and crafts festival that will take place from May 3 - 5 in the beautiful setting of Farmleigh House and grounds in Phoenix Park, Dublin.

Art in Action has been exhibiting art, holding classes and hosting performances for the public to learn and be inspired for the past 17 years. By opening their doors for free to the public, they hope to encourage young and old to enjoy drama, dance, music, storytelling, good food and art classes (for which their will be a nominal charge of approx. €8 to cover the cost of materials.)

Michael Ryan, Art in Action's founder, says the special event is, 'a truly inspiring and uplifting day out, in the company of the best, for all the family.'

Visitors can expect a relaxed atmosphere in Farmleigh, the gorgeous pocket of Dublin, amongst 100 working artists who will demonstrate their work and skills. Sounds like a pleasant family-friendly event not to be missed!
