The music festival will take place next year instead
"After exhausting all possibilities to enable the festival to happen this summer, it has become clear that despite recent signs of hope from the authorities, the current health restrictions make it impossible to make plans for the event."
Irish music festival All Together Now has confirmed that this year's festivities will be delayed until 2022.
Due to take place this over the August Bank Holiday weekend, which is only a number of week away, the festival this morning released a statement which will see it now take place in July next year.
Those who had tickets for this year's festival - and for the 2020 edition - will be able to attend next year over the weekend of July 29-31, 2022. Should you not be able to attend next year, a full refund of your ticket will be given.
Iggy Pop, Sinead O'Connor, and Underworld were due to headline this year's festival.
The full statement from All Together Now reads: "We regret to announce today that this year's All Together Now Festival will not be able to take place, and is now rescheduled to July 29th- 31st, 2022.
"After exhausting all possibilities to enable the festival to happen this summer, it has become clear that despite recent signs of hope from the authorities, the current health restrictions make it impossible to make plans for the event to take place this August Bank Holiday Weekend.
"Tickets for this year’s event are now valid for ATN 2022. We can hardly imagine how emotional it will be to reopen the gates to the festival next summer and meet again after such a sad and long absence. We all need and deserve a festival to look forward to and we are dedicated to making All Together Now 2022 a special celebration.
"We thank all the artists, managers, agents, crew, partners, production companies, and the many workers who continue to work alongside us through these difficult times. With special thanks to Lord & Lady Waterford & Waterford County Council for their continued support and encouragement.
"We will dance together again! But in the meantime: take good care of yourself and those around you! We thank you again for your continued support."
Electric Picnic recently released a statement regarding the festival, confirming that it will still go ahead in September. It will now begin three week later than planned, from September 24th-26, 2021.
