This year’s festival will largely focus on German music from the late Baroque. As well as Maya Homburger’s two concerts, the programmes of the opening and final concerts to be given by Ensemble Meridiana, performing for the first time in Ireland. A complete change of mood, period and instrumentation will be provided by Amoroso Foco.
The festival programme also includes: opening reception Sligo Baroque orchestra; Introduction to Baroque Music and Baroque Instruments by Ensemble Meridiana; Baroque dance classes; string training orchestra with members of Ensemble Meridiana ending with a 'performance'; playing solo Bach – masterclass with Maya Homburger; student concert and instrument makers workshop.
