Black Friday is a relatively new thing on these shores. While it provides an incentive to get the Christmas shopping boxed off early, we're still quite casual about the whole thing - lest anyone think we really wanted anything THAT much. The same can't be said for the nation that birthed it - America.

Behold the sheer MADNESS that ensues once stores open their doors. The women engaged in a tussle dance over what appears to be a telly(?) in Walmart is one thing...

The man taking a short cut over a load of fridges to get to some video games is another...

And as for he woman who pilfers a vegetable steamer out of the mitts of a child and then starts squawking "I'M SCARED!" when his mother takes action... there are simply no words. It's one of the most dystopian things you'll see this week - especially with the Christmas music quietly tinkling away in the background.

To see how different things are over this side of the pond, just have a gander at the below. Form an orderly queue, and do have a mince pie while you peruse the goods. Most importantly - respect each other. Tis the season of good will, after all.
