It's that time of year when everyone starts compiling lists and reminiscing about the year that was and YouTube are no different, offering up many lists of the top music videos and viral moments around the world.

But closer to home are the top trending videos in Ireland in 2015, which YouTube has crunched the geographically numbers on and presented below. Some of them are familiar, some of them not so much (we're looking at you 68 minute long Minecraft video. Seriously, kids these days...).

The good news however is the video that came out on top was none other than a video about empowering women and promoting equality, which is really what the country got behind in 2015. Long may it continue.
