This is the kind of thing that kids only dream about. We're insanely jealous.

Wiley Brys was digging in a plot of land near his home outside Dallas when he stumbled upon some bones that he initially thought belonged to a turtle but turned out to be from a 100 million year old dinosaur.

The plot of land in Mansfield, Texas, was bulldozed and set to become a shopping center when Wiley's dad Tim who is a zookeeper at Dallas Zoo decided they should dig there because he thought they might find fish fossils but ended up finding something much bigger.

Experts believe that the bones are from a group of dinosaurs called the Nodosaur, which were similar to the long and scaly Stegosaurus, but could be a new species. The bones have since been taken to Southern Methodist University in Dallas for further study.
