This has to be the scariest and most ridiculous bill to ever be received. A woman in France received a phone bill from Bouygues Telecom for €11, 721, 000, 000, 000, 000 this week. That's more than 4,000 times the actual GDP of France. And a hell of a lot more than we owe. Clearly a mistake, Solenne Sane Jose contacted the company, only to be told that because of the system and the computer-generated bill, they couldn't amend it or stop the funds from being taken from her account. Now A). We've all heard this one before, and we all know it's absolute bull so let's move past that to B). The fact that someone actually thought that this was her bill. You may want to rethink your hiring standards there Bouygues.
Apparently it was all sorted after a few calls, and the bill was corrected to €117.21. Ms. San Jose said there were so many zeroes she couldn't even work out how much it was. Don't blame her, that many zeroes nearly made our eyes fall out.
