If you're deathly afraid of spiders, you'd best look away now.

Li Meng recently had an unwelcome visitor inside her head - a live spider. The Chinese woman had complained of a scratching noise for several days and putting off going to a doctor because she initially believed it was "evil spirits" that were trying to possess her. As you do.

After the pain and noise became too much, Li went to a hospital where she met with an ENT - Ear, Nose and Throat - specialist who informed her that A SPIDER WAS LIVING ON HER EAR-DRUM. The spider, Li believes, got into her ear when she was hiking with her boyfriend.

The spider was quickly removed with a set of tweezers, who had to subdue the spider because it kept moving every time they tried to take it out.

And if you need us, we'll be in a corner taping our ears over with cotton wool.
