London bar raided for serving 'Whale Skin Cocktail'

A London bar was raided after allegedly serving cocktails made with whale skin, which apart from being illegal in Europe is also really gross. The Nightjar Bar in London had a drink fittingly named the Moby Dick, made up of Laphroaig whisky, Drambuie, ale and bitters, and a "whale skin infusion", prompting a raid by police last week. Whale meat and products are banned in the Europe except for in Denmark and Greenland where they are sold under strict restrictions. The director of the bar said that the piece of whale skin was only 2cm by 5cm and was brought back from Japan by an employee last year, where they're mad for all things whale. Apparently they were completely unaware of the illegality of the product, but have said nothing about how they thought it was a good idea in the first place.
