Joan Rivers mistaken for illegal immigrant.. Sort of understandable.

We'll try to get through this article without referring to her face or plastic surgery.

While filming for her reality series Joan Knows Best! with Countess Sondes on her estate in Kent, England, Rivers decided to engage in a little fishing on a trawler in the Swale Estuary, but was unexpectedly interrupted by four balaclava-clad officers from the United Kingdom Border Agency on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant. Apparently the area is a known spot for immigrants to land, and the 'suspicious activity' surrounding Rivers and crew on two trawlers caught the attention of the border control agency, who swooped in and boarded the vessel. Apparently Joan was cracking the jokes left, right and center but the officials were less jovial, taking the situation very seriously. All's well that ends well though, as the American comedian was verified to be a registered tourist and allowed to continue her work.

And look, we made it all the way through that without commenting on how Rivers' face could confuse officials into thinking she was an illegal alien of the extraterrestrial variety.
